A little about the compost worm farm
The secret of Hungry Bin lies in the special earthworms used.
This type of worm is completely different from the usual earthworm we know from our gardens. The compost worm is developed to eat plant waste that rots, and lives in the top layer (the first 30 cm of the soil).
The waste, also known as the compost they produce, is PH neutral which is ideal for plant growth. The compost worm is slightly smaller in size than a regular earthworm, and eats its weight in food in a day.
A little simple math, one kilogram of compost soil eats one kilogram of waste a day.
