A little about the compost worm farm

The secret of Hungry Bin lies in the special earthworms used.

This type of worm is completely different from the usual earthworm we know from our gardens. The compost worm is developed to eat plant waste that rots, and lives in the top layer (the first 30 cm of the soil).

The waste, also known as the compost they produce, is PH neutral which is ideal for plant growth. The compost worm is slightly smaller in size than a regular earthworm, and eats its weight in food in a day.

A little simple math, one kilogram of compost soil eats one kilogram of waste a day.

Reve Kompost transforms pure Norwegian resources into high-quality organic fertilizer. By using animal manure, shells, and other natural by-products, we create nutrient-rich compost that improves soil health, increases yields, and reduces the need for synthetic fertilizers. Our process is 100% sustainable, turning local waste into value and closing the nutrient cycle. Farmers gain healthier soil, stronger crops, and a more resilient farm system — while supporting the environment and circular economy. With Reve Kompost, you don’t just fertilize your land — you invest in the future of agriculture
