Our overall goal is to transform and manage more and more organic waste into new environmentally friendly resources. We want to help develop new soil improvement and fertilizer products.
ABOUT US
Reve Composting Plant in Jæren is a reception facility for organic waste and a producer of nutrient-rich living soil. Here, organic fractions are composted and recycled into renewable and environmentally friendly soil improvement and fertilizer products.
The organic waste comes from agriculture: industry and trade, as well as other actors with surplus organic material. The various end products made by Reve Kompost have diverse uses in society.
Finished compost is sold to landscapers, contractors, garden centers, nurseries, agriculture, municipalities and private individuals.
Soil improvement products with high organic content are the fertilizer of the future.
WHAT IS COMPOST?
Compost, or "living soil" as we have chosen to call the product, is nutrient-rich soil formed from organic waste. The waste is processed in a composting process that ultimately turns into finished compost. The compost can be used for mixing into potting soil and lawns, as well as top dressing in beds, vegetable, herb and berry gardens.
The advantage of using compost is that it provides unique nutrition for plants that lasts for a long time. In addition, compost keeps weeds away and is odorless.
Compared to other compost products, the quality of Reve compost is extremely good, and analyses document stable and good nutrient content. The compost has been tested in various trials and tests by Jæren Forsøksring and other practitioners.

HISTORY
With the aim of increasing the yields on the sandy soil of the family farm 50 years ago, Thore Refve Senior started receiving organic waste for the first time. After several years of receiving and composting organic waste, Reve Kompost As was established as a company in 2004. Since then, more and more operators have wanted to deliver their waste to Reve, and the demand for finished compost has increased.
